SLEEPWALKING
A few years ago some classmates and I went to an advertising firm in center city that had been around since the 50s or 60s. They were moving to a bigger office and getting rid of a bunch of old books and magazines. I grabbed a few print mags from the 60s and a couple stock photo books and other random interesting things. But my favorite book is an alphabet thesaurus. For a while I just admired all the different type and would sometimes trace over the letters. Because its somewhat old I never wanted to ruin it but always felt like it needed to be seen. So one day I started cutting it up and made a collage and since then I’ve pulled so many things out of it for multiple projects. I love this book and I will happily lug it around (its about 2.5 inches thick) until I’ve used up all the pages. Today I pulled it out and got to work.. Not sure where this one’s going yet..
